Proceeds from the sale of Spencer's art will go to Camp Invention, A STEM summer camp for grades K-6. Spencer Silver believed creativity is the merging of art and science. Throughout his life, he explored novel ideas in art, finding inspiration in nature, poetry, and science. As a scientist at 3M Company, he was the co-creator of Post-it notes and was inducted into the National Inventor's Hall of Fame in 2010. His art is a reflection of his curiosity. His pieces are vibrant with color and sometimes hauntingly dark. From his early pastels to his more recent "macrosphere" paintings he continued to explore the interface between art and science.
Available payment options
In-house shipping is available for coins, jewelry, and sterling. Please note a $10 handling fee is added to the cost of shipping. Additionally, all shipments require full insurance & signature required.
All other items will be shipped through our local UPS service. Once your items are ready to ship, you will receive an invoice directly from UPS.
If you wish to use your own shipping provider or choose to use a third party for pickup, please notify us no later than 5 days post auction.
We require that the shipping address match the registered billing address of the credit card used for payment. If buyer needs an item shipped to an alternate address, then payment must be made by wire transfer. All shipments must be fully insured/ declared at their full purchase price. The recipient is responsible for any/all packing costs, shipping costs, duties, taxes, fees, etc. International shipments are a case by case basis and must be pre-approved by SebastianCharles.
