Frère Jérôme (1902–1994), born Gerald Emmett Cardinal Carter, was a prominent Canadian educator, monk, and artist. A member of the Christian Brothers, he is best known for his abstract and spiritual artworks created during his later years. Working primarily in mixed media and painting, Frère Jérôme explored themes of faith, transcendence, and inner vision through a modernist lens. Based in Montreal, his art gained recognition for its emotive color use and symbolic abstraction, contributing to the evolution of contemporary religious art in Canada.
Available payment options
In-house shipping is available for coins, jewelry, and sterling. Please note a $10 handling fee is added to the cost of shipping. Additionally, all shipments require full insurance & signature required. All other items will be shipped through our local UPS service. Once your items are ready to ship, you will receive an invoice directly from UPS. If you wish to use your own shipping provider or choose to use a third party for pickup, please notify us no later than 2 days post auction. We require that the shipping address match the registered billing address of the credit card used for payment. If buyer needs an item shipped to an alternate address, then payment must be made by wire transfer. All shipments must be fully insured/ declared at their full purchase price. The recipient is responsible for any/all packing costs, shipping costs, duties, taxes, fees, etc. International shipments are a case by case basis and must be pre-approved by SebastianCharles.
