Condition: The shade has been partially restored. There are very minor dents along the edges and light scratches to the copper. The bottom piece is present but not attached to the base. Rewiring is needed.
Bio:
Charles P. Limbert was a prominent figure in the American Arts and Crafts movement, known for producing high-quality mission-style furniture and decorative objects from the late 1890s through the 1920s. Operating out of Grand Rapids and Holland, Michigan, the Limbert Furniture Company blended clean, rectilinear forms with subtle Dutch and English influences, often favoring quarter-sawn oak and hand-wrought iron hardware.
This windmill-form table lamp reflects Limbert’s commitment to handcrafted detail and architectural design motifs. Featuring stylized cutouts and a patinated finish consistent with early 20th-century production, lamps of this kind were likely produced during the height of Limbert’s output between 1905 and 1915. They embody the movement’s emphasis on functional beauty, honest materials, and artisan craftsmanship.
