This exceptional vintage timepiece by Audemars Piguet is ingeniously housed within an authentic U.S. double eagle gold coin minted in 1909. The coin has been carefully halved and hollowed—one side forming a hinged lid and the other the base—perfectly encapsulating an 18k yellow‑gold case. A discreet pusher integrated into the rim allows the lid to spring open and the inner watch can tilt, facilitating easy reading and winding. This dual‑coin design is a testament to both horological skill and numismatic artistry.
