André Hambourg (1909–1999) was a French painter known for his luminous seascapes, harbor scenes, and Mediterranean landscapes. Trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Hambourg served as an official painter for the French Navy, which granted him access to ports and coastlines around the world. His work blends Impressionist and Post-Impressionist influences, often characterized by vibrant color, dynamic brushwork, and a romantic view of coastal life.
Available payment options
In-house shipping is available for coins, jewelry, and sterling. Please note a $10 handling fee is added to the cost of shipping. Additionally, all shipments require full insurance & signature required. All other items will be shipped through our local UPS service. Once your items are ready to ship, you will receive an invoice directly from UPS. If you wish to use your own shipping provider or choose to use a third party for pickup, please notify us no later than 2 days post auction. We require that the shipping address match the registered billing address of the credit card used for payment. If buyer needs an item shipped to an alternate address, then payment must be made by wire transfer. All shipments must be fully insured/ declared at their full purchase price. The recipient is responsible for any/all packing costs, shipping costs, duties, taxes, fees, etc. International shipments are a case by case basis and must be pre-approved by SebastianCharles.
