Unframed paper size: 26" x 20" These are mixed media drawings. One is signed and one is not. Condition: Both have a little bit of acid burn round the edges and the cat costume drawing has a small 1/2" tear on the bottom. Freddy Wittop was a notable costume designer in the entertainment industry. Born on December 11, 1911, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and passing away on February 24, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, he left a significant mark on the world of costume design. He began his career in the Netherlands, working as a costume designer in the Dutch film industry during the 1930s. After relocating to the United States, he gained prominence for his work in Hollywood, particularly in designing costumes for major films and television shows. Wittop's notable work includes costume design for films such as "The Sound of Music" (1965), "South Pacific" (1958), "West Side Story" (1961), and "The King and I" (1956).
