Artist Bio: Jay N. �Ding� Darling was a leading political cartoonist in the 1900s and an important figure in the early conservation movement. He won the Pulitzer Prize twice (1924 and 1943) and reached America through more than 100 of the nation's leading newspapers while he was employed at The Des Moines Register and Sioux City Journal. His cartoons covered important events in the 20th century, including the Great Depression, prohibition and the labor movement. Throughout his life Darling was also a supporter of the conservation efforts that led to the creation of the national wildlife refuge system and other local and nationwide conservation projects and regulations. In addition, he was known to be close friends with Walt Disney.
Available payment options
In-house shipping is available for coins, jewelry, and sterling. Please note a $10 handling fee is added to the cost of shipping. Additionally, all shipments require full insurance & signature required.
All other items will be shipped through our local UPS service. Once your items are ready to ship, you will receive an invoice directly from UPS.
If you wish to use your own shipping provider or choose to use a third party for pickup, please notify us no later than 5 days post auction.
We require that the shipping address match the registered billing address of the credit card used for payment. If buyer needs an item shipped to an alternate address, then payment must be made by wire transfer. All shipments must be fully insured/ declared at their full purchase price. The recipient is responsible for any/all packing costs, shipping costs, duties, taxes, fees, etc. International shipments are a case by case basis and must be pre-approved by SebastianCharles.
